In the first episode of Amsterdam Walks we invite you to discover its rapidly developing business district The Zuidas ("South Axis" in Dutch). Thanks to its strategic location, close to Schiphol and the Amsterdam city center, the area attracts national and international companies and institutions.
Many high-rise buildings here are designed by famous architectural studios and we are going to explore some of them, including the newest one - "Valley" by the Dutch studio MVRDV - three geology-inspired towers covered in plant-life.
The greatest influences for the development of the Zuidas are La Défense in Paris (you can also find it on our channel) and Canary Wharf in London.
