In the first episode of Copenhagen Walks we invite you to discover Nordhavn - the innovative and sustainable city on the water, the largest building development project in northern Europe. The idea of the project is to divide the old industrial port in single islands and to plan one island at a time. The Nordhavn masterplan is a flexible guideline intended to inspire future generations of urban planners. The development based on the principle of a "5-minute city", make it possible to reach shops, institutions, work places, cultural facilities and public transport within 5 minutes' walk from any poin in the district.
We will explore the famous buildings of Nordhavn designed by leading architectural studious of Denmark such as Cobe, JAJA Architects, Bjarke Ingels Group, Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, 3XN, C.F. Møller adn others, we will do roof pilgrimage and will take a walk along the seabath.
