Downtown Houston, Texas - Part 2

  We invite you to the second part of our architectural walking tour in Downtown Houston (Texas) . Downtown is the largest business district in Houston and in state of Texas with the area of 4.8 km2. Today it is a home for the biggest United States corporations, containing the workplace of 150,000 employees. In this video we will walk from Christ Church Cathedral to the Downtown Transit Center station and will explore historical and modern buildings: Gensler and Chevron skyscrapers, Toyota Center designed by Populous and "1550 on the Green" designed by Bjarke Ingels Group BIG , as well as beautiful "Discovery Green" park with George R. Copenhagen Sluseholmen | Bella Center | Ørestad

  In this episode of Copenhagen Walks we invite you to make a 1 day journey in the city by ferry and metro and explore 3 different parts of Copenhagen: Teglholmen and Sluseholmen that live on water, the new urban district Bellakvarter in Ørestad with its remarkable Bella Sky Hotel designed by 3XN, and very architectural South Ørestad (Vestamager metro station) with the famous and iconic ' 8 House ' (built in the shape of a figure "8") designed by Bjarke Ingels Group BIG with its amazing landscape of Naturpark Amager around. We will also find some fascinating wooden pavilions by ADEPT hidden in nature.   In this episode of Copenhagen Walks we invite you to discover Carlsberg City - the beautiful transformation of historical brewing industrial area into the new modern and vibrant district of Copenhagen and to walk from Carlsberg new central office to the admirable Elephant Gate and to explore old and new architecture of the Carlsberg Byen (City) neighborhood. This area appeared when J.C. Jacobsen founded his original brewery Carlsberg in 1847. In 2008 the production was moved to Fredericia in Jutland, but the Jacobsen House Brewery is however still located in the district and produces specialty beers. Over the next 15 to 20 years, Carlsberg City will be urbanised and rebuilt based on the plan of the Danish architectural firm Entasis. The plan focuses on: mixed use, 24/7 activity and a lively and diverse urban life, greenness and sustainability (the area is planned to be Carbon neutral and employ a number of clean technologies).   In this new episode of Milan Walks we invite you to discover how the city meets the one of its big annual events - the Fashion Week 2024 - and to take an evening walk in the Quadrilatero della Moda - the fashion district of the city. Starting from the famous Via Monte Napoleone, we will visit San Babila, Via della Spiga, Via Manzoni, former Archiepiscopal seminary of Milan from the 16th century which became a new square of the district, we will also see the gorgeous La Scala Opera House , the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the hidden Apple Store .   In the fourth episode of Helsinki Walks we invite you to explore the Aalto University - a public research university located in Otaniemi, Espoo (Finland) - 10 kilometres from the center of Helsinki - and to visit 3 its remarkable buildings: Undergraduate Centre designed by Alvar Aalto (1964), Dipoli designed by Raili and Reima Pietilä (1966, renovated by ALA Architects in 2017) and the new one - Väre Building designed by Verstas Architects (2018). Let's take a walk in the snow in the campus and discover how the University looks inside. The University is named in honour of Alvar Aalto - a prominent Finnish architect, designer and alumnus of this University who also designed a large part of the buildings of the campus in Otaniemi.
