Dusseldorf: Archwalks Travel Guide

We have visited D ü sseldorf for the first time as the starting point of our summer travel 2023 . This travel guide is based on our personal experience and contains the places we have visited. The main information about the city: It is the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous state of Germany. It has 629,047 inhabitants (December 31, 2022), and it is the second largest city in the state (after Cologne). Düsseldorf is a trade fair city and the headquarters of many listed companies, including the DAX-listed Henkel group. It has the highest turnover for auditing, management consulting and clothing fashion as well as an important financial and stock exchange center. It has also a leading location for the art trade in Germany. In the 2nd episode of Rotterdam Walks we invite you to explore the center of the city along the Nieuwe Maas with its modern architectural development, the highest building of Netherlands - The Maastoren and De Zalmhaven , and to cross the beautiful bridge - The Erasmusbrug to get to the former harbour district of Wilhelminapier with De Rotterdam building designed by OMA and Rem Koolhaas . Rotterdam: The City Of Architectural Experiments - Part 1

In the 1st episode of Rotterdam Walks we invite you to explore the exceptional architecture of the city - the second-largest city in the Netherlands - which you can easily explore in 1 day travel. We will visit the Markthal designed by MVRDV - a unique residential and office building with a market hall underneath. Then we will walk to discover unbelievable Cube Houses by Piet Blom where each house represents a tree, and all the houses together, a forest. In this part we will see also The Central Library, The Red Apple, The Oudehaven (The Old Port) and will do the promenade along The Nieuwe Maas - a distributary of the Rhine River. Let's go! In the second episode of Frankfurt Walks we invite you to explore the center of Frankfurt am Main starting from the Eschenheimer Turm which was a city gate, part of the late medieval fortifications of the city and now is a city landmark. We will visit very special shopping center MyZeil designed by Massimiliano Fuksas and then, will explore the Altstadt - the Old City. The historic part of Frankfurt was largely destroyed in 1944, later, the most important historic buildings, churches and squares were reconstructed. We will walk to the main square - the Römerberg and will do the promenade along t he river Main with its beautiful views on the modern part of the city at sunset.
