On the road from one unique Italian city - Naples to another - Matera, shaped like a volcano and designed around a central piazza, one of Renzo Piano’s most unusual works Vulcano Buono blurs the line between architecture, landscape, and public space. In this video, we will explore why this building is so special. Then we will drive East to see one undiscovered place where an ancient volcano shaped this entire landscape - Monticchio Lakes. This is the first day of our small architectural Italy road trip.
